If you have previously purchased an album from Itunes, can you upgrade to the LP version at a reduced rate or do you end up with two versions in your Itunes?

I'm not sure how interest anybody else was in the Getting info option of the Right-click menu, but I am, especially when I need to make sure I have the correct information from the iTunes store to my iTunes.
For example, if iTunes 9 came out a few months ago, before I ripped my Now 29 CD I wouldn't have gotten the Album artwork without knowing that 'Various Artists' goes into the Album Artist field. But that's not my point.
My point is, knowing the music information for a song is important when ripping a CD doesn't provide all that information (Composers, Genres).
I was just wondering why this option was taken off.

Getting an error every time I try to ...
Every time I go to check available updates for my apps I get this:
Could not purchase "". The network connection timed out.
Make sure your network settings are correct, and your network connection is active, then try again.
After this happens, I am able to go to the downloads tab and on the bottom it now says '39 iTunes Downloads available'. I click this and I'm prompted with a pop up window that states:

I don't understand because I have just been able to purchase, download and install iPod Touch 3.0 onto my 32GB iPod Touch 2nd Generation. I have installed iTunes 9.0 as well on my computer. I can access the iTunes store and browse. When I try to update my apps via my iPod Touch, it allows me to install. But! instead of it installing with it's progress bar, it says "waiting..." and renders the app not able to be used or deleted. In order to get rid of the "waiting..." on the app, I have to restore my iPod Touch and use to old versions of the apps. Which occassionally crash because I have the iPod Touch/iPhone 3.0 software. I forgot to mention that the internet works completely fine on my computer and safari on my iPod Touch. I need help!! it frustrating me to no end...

All month I have been trying to change my AOL account over to my Apple account when it asks me to. When I click continue after the first change screen comes up, I get a message that says 'The iTunes store could not process your request. Please try again later.' A few years ago I was having trouble with signing into my AOL account and I had made an actual Apple account using the same AOL e-mail. Could this be a reason why? I have about $20 credit on my AOL name that I do not want to lose.

I downloaded iTunes 9 on a different computer than my iPod was synced to because the old one crashed. I transferred my purchases without difficulty, but now there are a few dozen new songs I've never heard of in my library. I suppose they could have come loaded on and been hiding in this computer for the last few years and iTunes uncovered them while searching for content, but I think that's unlikely. Any thoughts on how they got there?

I just purchased a 2 hr. movie on iTunes, but it is downloading very slowly, according to iTunes it will take 125 hr.!!!! I am using a netbook, but my netbook normally downloads movies, etc. fine. Does anyone know how to raise with Apple the fact that they have associated the wrong artist with a song in their catalogue? I can't see how to contact them via phone (in the UK), by email or on their website.

Corrupted iTunes downloads ...
Hello all!
Let me describe the issue i've been having. When I updated a portion of my music library to iTunes plus recently, two of the songs did not complete, in fact they have not even been able to begin downloading. Their status shows that they are "zero KB of 0.1 KB - stopped (err = -100000)". What's also interesting is that there is no download folder in my iTunes music folder... they are just in my queue. I've tried reinstalling iTunes as well as making sure my firewall has been disabled while trying to download them as well. iTunes only tells me that "The files seems to be corrupted. To re-download the file, choose "Check for Available Downloads" from the Store menu." It seems like i've tried everything, including talking through the apple chat support a few times and making a phone call to them as well.
In short, I was just wondering whether someone knew a simple solution to this problem for the error code "-100000". Hoping someone can help! Thank you.

Itunes Store Language Jibberish ...
It seems that my Itunes Store is showing the language as jibberish. Lots of "@" symbols and nothing is readable. I reinstalled already and checked my language support, but nothing seems to be wrong. This happened when I upgraded to version 9.

the same credit card I have been using for weeks now shows "invalid security code" and my last few purchases have not charged. I entered a different card and it still says invalid security code. The only thing that has changed is that I upgraded to version 9

"Get Info" feature is no longer showing ...
I upgraded to iTunes 9 and immediately noticed that there is no menu with "Get info", upon right clicking items. It is a very important feature to me-- the only way I can organize my tracks ripped from cds and actually get cover art. Is anyone else having this problem? Is it going to be fixed?

slow downloads ...
I'm tring to download a rental from the itunes store, but even though I have high speed internet it's going to take me 7 hours to download a 1.6 gig movie. Thats too slow, before it only took an hours with itunes 8.
Also when I try to preview a trailer in the store, the video refuses to appear.
Please help, tried reinstalling and that doesn't help. Also would it have something to do with Bonjour on?

Before iTunes 9 I was able to drag an item from Store to my Wish List. Regrettably, I am no longer allowed to do that. iTunes 9 says I must right-click, then click on the " add to wish list" to accomplish this. Neither does this work. What am I doing wrong? Redownloading Apps ...
I erased and restored my PC, so to sync again I had to erase and resync my iPhone. So now I don't have a backup of my apps, so luckily when I plugged in my phone it popped up a window asking to download any purchased apps. However, iTunes only downloaded a single app (need for speed) and none of my several others. I'm trying to find a way to bring up this option again.
PS: The fact that Apple chooses to hide or outright remove the ability to redownload purchased apps in bulk shows a level of greed that truly disgusts me. I'm done buying anything on the apple store.

Constantly "rebuffering stream" ...
When I go into the iTunes store and choose to listen to one of the 30 second previews for a song, every 2 seconds, the clip has to stop and rebuffer the stream. This problem NEVER happened in iTunes 8, and I wanted to know why it's happening now. I can't even decide if a song is worth buying or not, because I can't actually tell what they sound like due to the constant rebuffering.

Ringtones purchased through iTunes ...
I purchased an "album" of ringtones through iTunes and paid $3.99 for them. They downloaded to my music library and not the ringtone library so I right clicked on one and selected "create ringtone" and it is trying to charge me 99 cents for each one which means I would be paying an additional $15. There has to be another way to do this or I would like to find out how I can get a refund on my purchase of that album since it does not function as I was led to believe when I bought it.

Can't download or watch videos from ...
I recently moved my PC from my home to my dorm. I also recently updated iTunes. I now cannot download videos from iStore. I can;t even watch previews. The video pops up in the downloads section. However, the download is stalled at 0 bytes, and after 30 seconds a message pops up saying the connection has timed out. When I try to watch a video directly from iStore, a gray box appears, where the video should play, but nothing else happens.
Downloading music works fine.
I do have what I think is the latest version of QuickTime.

Search function lost in new itunes Store ...
You used to be able to search podcasts and get lists that you could rank by popularity. The search function has been severely reduced in the newest itunes store.
Now all you can get is thumbnails with no details.

Cannot see icons in latest iTunes store ...
iTunes store used to show up on my screen with a light blue-ish background with black text. Whatever latest version has downloaded to my laptop now shows up with black background and black text - I cannot see any of the written text. The album prices and individual song prices show up as black text with highlights, so I can vaguely see that. Anyone with a fix so I can shop again? Many thanks.

little squares instead of text in the ...
I upgraded to itune9 this morning, and most of the text in the store, except artists' names, are little squares. the fonts i have are strictly only XP pro and oed fonts. i never had helvetica to delete. like someone on a similar but different thread, i assume it'll get fixed someday if no one with xp can read the store, but i'd like an answer sooner.

iTunes Music Store Home does not display ...
In the last few days I've noticed that when I try to access the Music Store, the normal iTunes window goes blank except for the Music Store watermark. Using the search function I'm able to call up specific results. I'm also able to access my shopping cart. What I cannot do is access the iTunes Music Store homepage and browse, complete my albums, update to iTunes Plus, etc.

Any help here or do I just buy my music from Amazon from here on out?

Can't Purchase NCIS season 7 or CSI ...
Anyone else having issues purchasing the season pass for either of these shows?
I've been trying all day and just keep getting an error that they're being "modified". I'm just wondering if I'm the only one having an issue here, as I really wanna get these passes while they're on sale.

I'd just got my Iphone 3gs and I have downloaded some apps for it, but I can't transfer them to my phone! It says that I have to Authorise(?) it to be able to sync them with my phone, but the thing i s that I have done that a lot of times. And now wnhen I try to transfer them it just keep asking me if I would authourise my computer, but I have already done it! What should I do? Someone?

hi i have a dell pc with windows vista and i have been having trouble for a very long time accessing the music store. i always download the latest versions of itunes and all i keep getting on itunes is the accessing music store window and it never connects me. i do have parental controls on my computer but i dont think thats the problem because i put the following addresses into the allowed list under the web filter:

ax.itunes.apple.com
albert.apple.com
these are the addressed i saw that should be put into the allowed sites list. but itunes still wont work for me. can anyone please help? thanks

Itunes 9 - text
Upgraded to Itunes 9, which worked fine, except for that the Itunes store appearance got really weird. I can only see some of the symbols and no text at all, all of that is gone. I've tried re-installing it, but no difference.
Any ideas on what to do to fix it, or is there a way to go back to iTunes 8 again? I'm really quite lost in these kind of things.

I purchased the new OS for the my ipod Touch, it gave that error and i've tried to download several times and is the same thing. What Songs are iTunes Plus in iTunes 9 ...
I just upgraded to iTunes 9. In the iTunes Store, you used to be able to tell which tracks were iTunes PLUS because they had a little " " sign next to them. Now, none do? What does this mean? Is this a bug? Are ALL iTunes audio files now iTunes PLUS? Are none of them?
Unless something is ONLY available as the old 128kbps low-bit rate, DMR'ed file format, I will NEVER, EVER buy anything in that format. Period. I am only interested in the 256kbps, DRM-free iTunes PLUS files that are twice the bitrate and that I can play at work via VLC Portable since I can't install iTunes at work.
Can someone help me out? You can't even do a "GET INFO" on items in the store any more...
I'd greatly appreciate any assistance/insight.

Unable to download music ...
Attempted to purchase album today but the download will not begin. No error message is given and when I "check for available downloads", it says that all purchases have been downloaded. I've tried purchasing the album several times without success. I've also tried changing my password and resubmitting credit card information. I'm concerned now that later the album will try to download several times, as I've tried to make this purchase about ten times. I've never had this problem before but this is the first purchase I've tried to make since downloading iTunes 9.

I use an HP computer with Vista and upgraded to Itunes version 9.0.0.70. Now when I try to sign on it says Itunes cannot connect to Itunes store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again. Anyone have any ideas?

Cannot Connect to iTunes Store - since ...
I am unable to connect to the iTunes store since upgrading to version 9 - prior to the installation of version 9 I was able to connect to the store - I attempted to purchase a TV show and was told I needed to upgrade to version 9 - so basically I was forced to and now I can't connect and the apple support says it is my computer - I can access the internet (hence this post) - I have uninstalled and reinstalled it - I have added it to the firewall in both windows and my Roadrunner one - however when running the iTunes Diagnostics for the connection the application crashes - anyone have any ideas - I tried to copy the window from the crash but was unable to - I did send it to Microsoft.
Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have purchased hundreds of song from iTunes during that 2 year period. As iTunes Plus versions of songs I had previously purchased, in my library became available. A couple of facts:
o I only have one iTunes store account.
o Most of the 70 songs in question are currently available in iTunes.
o I have never lost of restored these files I only moved the Library to a lager hard drive.
Recently the request/offers to upgrade has come to a stop, so I sent an email to iTunes Store support. After exchanging several e-mails I asked the following question.
Is the only way I can get the upgraded iTunes Plus versions of the ~70 files in my iTunes library is re-purchase them for the iTunes store? Just a simple yes on no will do.
ITunes Supports Answer:
As it is a different file format than the ones previously downloaded, if you wish to have the iTunes Plus content you will need to purchase.
So in the interest of getting a second opinion, is the only way I can get the upgraded iTunes Plus versions of the ~70 files in my iTunes library is to re-purchase them for the iTunes store?
Repurchasing seem odd to me since ITunes offered upgrade to some files and not others? Please help me see the light.

Itunes Store - ALL Text Black/Cant See ...
I recently downloaded iTunes 9, and I like it and all except for the iTunes Store. I cannot read ANYTHING, it's all black. I can see some images but that's it. I've tried installing, reinstalling. I even did a system restore to a few weeks ago and I still have the SAME problem. Can someone please help me? Or am I at least not the only one who is frustrated by this problem?

I'm not sure how interest anybody else was in the Getting info option of the Right-click menu, but I am, especially when I need to make sure I have the correct information from the iTunes store to my iTunes.
For example, if iTunes 9 came out a few months ago, before I ripped my Now 29 CD I wouldn't have gotten the Album artwork without knowing that 'Various Artists' goes into the Album Artist field. But that's not my point.
My point is, knowing the music information for a song is important when ripping a CD doesn't provide all that information (Composers, Genres).
I was just wondering why this option was taken off.

Getting an error every time I try to ...
Every time I go to check available updates for my apps I get this:
Could not purchase "". The network connection timed out.
Make sure your network settings are correct, and your network connection is active, then try again.
After this happens, I am able to go to the downloads tab and on the bottom it now says '39 iTunes Downloads available'. I click this and I'm prompted with a pop up window that states:

I don't understand because I have just been able to purchase, download and install iPod Touch 3.0 onto my 32GB iPod Touch 2nd Generation. I have installed iTunes 9.0 as well on my computer. I can access the iTunes store and browse. When I try to update my apps via my iPod Touch, it allows me to install. But! instead of it installing with it's progress bar, it says "waiting..." and renders the app not able to be used or deleted. In order to get rid of the "waiting..." on the app, I have to restore my iPod Touch and use to old versions of the apps. Which occassionally crash because I have the iPod Touch/iPhone 3.0 software. I forgot to mention that the internet works completely fine on my computer and safari on my iPod Touch. I need help!! it frustrating me to no end...

Not able to change my AOL ID over ...
All month I have been trying to change my AOL account over to my Apple account when it asks me to. When I click continue after the first change screen comes up, I get a message that says 'The iTunes store could not process your request. Please try again later.' A few years ago I was having trouble with signing into my AOL account and I had made an actual Apple account using the same AOL e-mail. Could this be a reason why? I have about $20 credit on my AOL name that I do not want to lose.

Free music with new version of iTunes? ...
I downloaded iTunes 9 on a different computer than my iPod was synced to because the old one crashed. I transferred my purchases without difficulty, but now there are a few dozen new songs I've never heard of in my library. I suppose they could have come loaded on and been hiding in this computer for the last few years and iTunes uncovered them while searching for content, but I think that's unlikely. Any thoughts on how they got there?
