Unable to download music ...

Attempted to purchase album today but the download will not begin. No error message is given and when I "check for available downloads", it says that all purchases have been downloaded. I've tried purchasing the album several times without success. I've also tried changing my password and resubmitting credit card information. I'm concerned now that later the album will try to download several times, as I've tried to make this purchase about ten times. I've never had this problem before but this is the first purchase I've tried to make since downloading iTunes 9.
