Itunes crashed while downloading - some ...

I was downloading an album off the itunes store and I had downloaded most of it - still waiting on three tracks when my itunes decided it wasn't working and volunteered itself to close without asking me. In my purchased file it has all the songs that sucessfully downloaded however there seems to be no trace of the other three songs I paid for. What do I do?

Problems when accessing itunes store ...

Sometimes when I click on something from the genius side bar it opens the iTunes store in fullscreen mode but with no controls eg. I cannot come back to the previous page, or go back to my library unless I click on one of the buttom left buttons (show/hide artwork, create playlist...) which then show me a patch of screen big enough to click on one of my playlists which then takes me to my library.

Anyone else ever have this problem?

I use the newest version of iTunes, didn't experience this glitch before.

Cannot see icons in latest iTunes store ...

iTunes store used to show up on my screen with a light blue-ish background with black text. Whatever latest version has downloaded to my laptop now shows up with black background and black text - I cannot see any of the written text. The album prices and individual song prices show up as black text with highlights, so I can vaguely see that. Anyone with a fix so I can shop again? Many thanks.

iTunes Store in Gibberish ...

Ever since my iTunes updated to version 9, all the text on the iTunes store is illegible...almost looks like Russian! Anyone else have this problem? Sometimes if I mouse over the text, it reverts to normal, but not all the time.

2 iTouches, Only One Has Sync Window ...

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have two iPod iTouches synched on the same home computer. I only just upgraded both the iTunes' and the iTouch's software. The first iTouch has a window in the Applications section, with the various pages with your apps. Mine is maxed out at 11 pages. It's easy to select or de-select apps, and order them as you wish. It's right next to the "Sync Applications" window. Above, it shows the name I've chosen for the iTouch.

But when I connect the second iTouch, that window with the apps already on the iTouch is not there. Does anyone else have this problem? Bug? Or is that only offered for one i-Device at a time?

I've tried authorising and de-authorising, but nothing works. It's not a MAJOR thing, but it's puzzling. Thanks for any help.

New iphone and Windows 7 ...

Ok, so I was using Windows XP and backed up my iphone before I took it to Apple because it was not functioning properly. Right before I left, I upgraded to Windows 7. So at the store, I was given a new iphone. Was told which I already knew that all I had to do at home was plug the iphone in and itunes should ask if I want to basically restore from "Madeline's iphone." However, that message isn't coming up. Any suggestions?

Music Videos ...

Has anybody experienced a problem with music videos since implementing home sharing, none of my music videos play in iTunes window although the audio is ok.

My Apple TV also syncs with iTunes and all videos play ok so why aren't they playing in iTunes window?

Reformatted harddrive and now iPhone ...

I recently reformatted my harddrive because Windows vista was acting so horribly (I know, I know, I am saving up for a Mac). Now, my iPhone won't sync to my computer because, it says, the iPhone is already synced to another computer. I understand you can only sync to one computer at a time and I understand the iPhone believes that it's master is some other computer (my computer before I reformatted) but is there any way around completely erasing my iPhone?

ITunes Store (UK) content missing ...

I saw not too long ago that the UK ITunes Store was offering the film Twilight (I know . . . I'm ashamed of myself too) along with the new ITunes Extra feature. However after going out and purchasing an ITunes card I have returned to find the film is no longer available in the store.
Was the film never there or has it been removed for some reason.
Any response would be a great help as I'm wary about spending the credit I have in my account incase the film is once more available on the store and I then cannot afford it.

Missing New Purchases since upgrade ...

I upgraded to iTune 9.0.1.8 one week ago because I needed it to support my new iPhone. I have since then purchased 5 songs through iTunes and all 5 songs are missing. They show up in my iTunes library, but I cannot play them. 4 of those songs I purchased on Friday night. iTunes Store Song Display List-Change ...

Is there a way to change the way iTunes Store songs are displayed in ver 9.x like they were in the older version of iTunes?

The songs are now displayed in a very small viewing window and the colums can't be adjusted to view the song data...everything is truncated.

Also, you used to be able to right-click on a song and "Get Info" about the album, song, etc.

Not a big fan of this new interface...it's very limited.

i have been asking around the internet about my problem with iTunes 9, i am a sony vaio windows vista user but i don't think this is a factor. My iTunes 9 is displaying weird characters/language when i am in the iTunes Store.

Whenever I try to sample a song on iTunes, I get the an error that says "iTunes has stopped working. Windows is trying to find a resolution to this problem." After windows is done searching for a solution I am only given the option to "Close Program" which shuts down iTunes completely. This happens every time I try to sample a song. Does anyone know why it is doing this? I am using the most current iTunes version. This error only occurs when I try to sample a song.

Help! I recently purchased a movie from Itunes store on my Iphone. I then copied/transferred this to my lap top (file - transfer my purchases) and it is now on the lap top but has disappeared from my Iphone! All other (music) purchases are on the lap top AND the phone.

ITunes 9.0 and Music Videos ...

Here's a question:

I know Itunes 9 is supposed to be all DRM Free but the music videos aren't that way...obviously you could tell with older editions of itunes which videos were DRM Free or not.

So the dumb question is:
Is there anyway to tell which videos are DRM Free?... I can't spend two dollars everytime just to see if it is or not.

Whenever I try to use the "complete my album" feature on iTunes, it gives me the error message: "Purchase of this item is not currently available. Item is being modified. Please try again later." Unable to create iTunes account - ...

I have a new iPhone 3GS and I want to sign up to iTunes to get apps etc. However, during the sign up process it asks for my address including my postcode. I live in Ireland where we have no postcodes. I tried my usual tricks of putting random numbers, writing "none" etc but it continues to say my postcode is invalid. I have an appleID which I was able to sign up for without a postcode.

I had some problems over weeks to connect to i-tunes store over i-tunes. i serched in forums, read thousunds of topics, google was my fried (bad one). i uninstalled itunes, new install an older version, a newer one, nothing worked, but than i had an idea.

before i tell u, i have to say, that im using FF und IE. FF to surfing, IE to surf with proxy. dont ask me way, its a personal stuff. (i think, now u know what the problem was)

back again to topic. i deactived my proxy from ie and what? itunes connects! i can now connect to the online store! wuhuu.

so @ all
deactivete your ie proxy when using itunes. (many questions out there - try google)
and what happens if im uninstalling ie from pc?
why doesnt have itunes own browser, like embedded safari?

now, there is no place that even shows "balance"
its just my apple id in the corner. it doesnt even have anywhere to see purchase history.

I bought an iTunes card with a free episode of CSI on it as a bonus for buying that card. It gave me an error message when I entered the code on the back, but it still credited my account. And now when I check for purchases I get the following message

Constantly "rebuffering stream" ...

When I go into the iTunes store and choose to listen to one of the 30 second previews for a song, every 2 seconds, the clip has to stop and rebuffer the stream. This problem NEVER happened in iTunes 8, and I wanted to know why it's happening now. I can't even decide if a song is worth buying or not, because I can't actually tell what they sound like due to the constant rebuffering.

I went to sync my iPod with my work laptop and saw that there are libraries there for 2 people I do not know. How would these have gotten there and how do I get these off my iTunes? How secure is my information (particularly Contacts and Calendar) on i Tunes if I can get someone else's library?

On another note, I did a sync to my personal computer last night. Videos that I rented months ago are still taking up space on my iTouch even though I deleted them in iTunes. How can I get those off my iTouch?

Song preview error ...

Whenever I go to preview a song it will start and then a box will pop up on my screen saying Opening URL and Rebuffering Stream. What does this mean? It never used to do this until I upgraded to Itunes 9. Is there a setting or something I need to change to make it work right??

iTunes Store Doesn't Like My Postal ...

The Postal Code must be valid (such as V7H 1V5)...

...is the error I constantly get when trying update my billing info in the iTunes store.

For some reason my CC security code is no longer in the billing info and I have to update it each time I want to buy a song. But when I enter the code and click Done, it says my postal code is wrong, but I can then buy the song. I can also buy apps from the app store on my iPhone with no issues.

My address, postal code and country (Canada) are entered correctly (the same as my CC billing info) and I have tried variations of caps, lower case, and even ST. St. Street for the street address all to no avail.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.

I made an iTunes account using an iTunes prepaid card and whenever I try to download an app or a game it says I need a credit card. Corrupted iTunes downloads ...

Hello all!

Let me describe the issue i've been having. When I updated a portion of my music library to iTunes plus recently, two of the songs did not complete, in fact they have not even been able to begin downloading. Their status shows that they are "zero KB of 0.1 KB - stopped (err = -100000)". What's also interesting is that there is no download folder in my iTunes music folder... they are just in my queue. I've tried reinstalling iTunes as well as making sure my firewall has been disabled while trying to download them as well. iTunes only tells me that "The files seems to be corrupted. To re-download the file, choose "Check for Available Downloads" from the Store menu." It seems like i've tried everything, including talking through the apple chat support a few times and making a phone call to them as well.

In short, I was just wondering whether someone knew a simple solution to this problem for the error code "-100000". Hoping someone can help! Thank you.

Cannot Purchase Tunes From iTunes Store ...

Since upgrading to iTunes 9.0 almost one month ago I've not been able to purchase a single tune from the iTunes Store.

Specifically; clicking on the Buy Song button against a desired tune, iTunes 9.0 tries to access the iTunes Store. However, an error popup message then consistently displays, reading: We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured (-9812). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.

I initially thought there was an error with my installation of iTunes 9.0, hence I uninstalled and reinstalled it, without effect.

I've tried contacting Apple Support whose help has been nothing short of appalling! They continually send me links to tutorials and troubleshooting pages which do not address the issue I am experiencing. Equally, when speaking directly to their Support Operative they advised me they could only assist Mac users, not Windows users such as myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After further investigation, there appears to be a fundamental issues with iTunes 9.0, especially when running it on Windows based systems. Note the following links:

As a QA test,my colleagues and I installed iTunes 9.0 on three separate machines running Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari browsers. NONE of the machines could contact the iTunes Store using iTunes 9.0 software!

Clearly iTunes 9.0 should not have been generally released until a full QA test had been performed and subsequently addressed this critical error.

Apple Support do not appear able to help me address this issue! Hence I do hope someone on this forum could advise me what I need to do to address this ongoing issue?

Can not Connect to the Network ...

Since I upgraded to itunes 9.0.1.8 I have not been able to log into my user account. This keeps me from buying music or using the genius functions. I have been though many help pages, chats with Apple Support, and tutorials. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all Apple aplications to no avail. I have disabled firewalls. Checked itunes 9 on a co-workers machines which work fine suggesting that it is not a network firewall.
When I run the network diagnostic it states that all network and store conections work but when I click on my account I am returned to the message "Network Concections timed out"

I recently moved my library over to another computer. Although half of my purchased music from the itunes library was purchased on a different account than the one i currently have. They were purchased on an account that has been deleted, and i therefore cannot authorize those songs with that account. I cannot play/burn or put on my ipod 928 songs that i purchased off the itunes store.

how can i authorize these songs?

I've had problems connecting to the iTunes store for quite some time now, this was before v9 and it came out of nowhere during v8. I upgraded to iTunes 9 to see if that was the problem, but it wasn't. I've tried everything that Apple has asked me to do on the site but still unable to connect! It's not my ISP because we are able to connect on the other computer and well I don't know what else to do. I'm pretty positive that it's my computer.

Ever since I upgraded my iTunes to the new iTunes 9, I can't get iTunes store to load. I've gone through the troubleshooting, and even ran a repair iTunes and then uninstalled and re-installed the iTunes. Nothing has worked. It only loads part way with just blue boxes with ? marks in them and names of songs/artists. Plain white background and none of the links that do show go anywhere. I get this message when I try to click on a link: We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (306). There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later.

Complete my Album - Not working for the ...

The iTunes store is currently advertising the Black Eyed Peas "The E.N.D." album at a reduced price of 7.99. It also gives me the choice of purchasing "The E.N.D. Deluxe Version at a reduced price of 13.99 as well. However on attempting to purchase the Deluxe Version, this error message has been given over the past few days:

"Purchase of this item is not currently available. This item is being modified. Please try again later."

Is this because the sale is not applicable for the Deluxe version, and the offer is only for the regular album? Or will this error be fixed before the reduced price sale be gone? I am trying to decide between waiting for the Deluxe Version to become downloadable, or purchasing the regular version before the sale is over.

New to itunes - starting account with ...

I've just downloaded itunes as the place I want to get my music from is currently not available in Canada, but itunes wont let me even add anything to a wishlist without attaching a credit card to the account.
I never intended to use a credit card (nor do I have one, and have no plans to get one again), I was going to buy an itunes card to make my music purchases but this little roadblock in my account setting up proccess has made me weary.

I don't want to buy an itunes card (non refundable) until I know for sure I can use it on this account without attaching a credit card. If I add an itunes card in that step will it accept that or still beg for a credit card?
I'm not comfortable with ANY site requiring credit cards to start an account.

I don't want apps or games - I don't want anything like that - I only with to buy music to play on my Zune.

I'm sorry if this is a repeated question, I couldn't find an answer anywhere.

I have a new iPhone and wanted to register for an app-store (itunes account, respectively). The user was created and there was e message like "click the link in the verification email you got".
The problem is that I did not get this e-mail (I am waiting since 4 days). I also tried (in itunes) to resend-confirmation mail. It always says tha the email wa sent, but I don't get one.
I have a gmail account and the confirmation mail is not in the spam folder ( I checked that).

Billing Problem. ...

I had a prepaid credit card with like $40 on it. I uploaded it to my iTunes store or whatever so i had money to buy songs. I bought all of my songs and it worked perfectly fine and when the card amount went out it said I no longer had enough money to buy anymore songs, or whatever it said.
Then today I found this free song I wanted to get and i clicked on it but it said that I had billing problems or whatever. And then it brings me to this bill type thing showing all the songs that i bought with the card. Except it says i havent paid for them yet and that I cant get anything from itunes until i pay for them. Except i DID pay for them with the card and it worked at the time but now it says i have to repay. But, ive thrown away the card now because all of the money was used up. What do i do?

problem syncing ipod ...

I have a 120 GB classic ipod. When I try to sync my ipod, I get one or all of the following error messages:
The ipod "--" cannot be synced. An unkown error occured (-48).
or
........(-13010)
or
The specified I/O operation on \Device\Harddisk1\DR39 was not completed before the time-out period expired.
or
Attempting to copy to the disk "--" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to.

and I click ok or continue, and then it continues to sync until complete. When it ejects my ipod, there is no music on it.

Sometimes it will show that all my music is downloaded on my ipod, but when I play it, some songs will not play, or the song that is shown playing is actually a different song than the one you hear.

I have tried the 5R's about a billion times. I am so frustrated. Please help!!

I have always found the iTunes Store pretty slow but since the upgrade to iTunes 9.0.1 it has slowed even further and it is now almost unusable. It is currently giving an estimate of 2 hours to download a 13.6MB podcast. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do to remedy this?

I tried to pre-order an album. It was one that came with a song that downloaded immedietly. I clicked pre-order and it said some error and to try again. I went to and realized I was charged for that one song that you can get first. So i thought it went ahead and pre-ordered the album anyway. Not only is the store not connecting, but also AVG free anti-virus can't connect in order to update. Is this related?

I've done everything, just like everyone else has... deleted the anti-virus and checked the store again and still nothing. But I can still connect to my normal sites on Safari. And naturally Apple is going to completely ignore our complaints and continue handing out their defective iTunes. ***.

The past few days I've experienced some issues dealing with iTues store. itunes store launches just fine and the music in my library plays just fine, but whenever i click on a song for a 30 sec preview it pops up saying "itunes has stopped working". I am then forced to shut down itunes. it seems to be a problem with itunes 9. i've tried uninstalling version 9 and tried version 8 and when i do this itunes store preview works, but i'm unable to keep my library if i rollback to version 8. I just downloaded 11 songs by Nic Chagall from the iTunes store and none of them will play. They are listed in my iTunes as well as my library so I know they are there. When I choose any of the songs in iTunes, the player skips down the list to the next non-Nic Chagall artist. I have tried opening them directly in the library but nothing happens.
I've tried playing the songs through other players besides iTunes (Windows Media Player, WinAmp) and they don't work there, either.

Is it possible these downloads have corrupted somehow.

I did some serious cleaning on my computer yesterday and may have accidentally removed a program that is needed to open Itunes. iTunes was giving me the message "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store". I looked in Windows Firewall, and iTunes was already checked under the Exceptions tab. But I tried turning Windows Firewall off anyway - and after that iTunes could connect successfully after all.

Then I turned the firewall back on, deauthorized and restarted iTunes - and it couldn't connect again. Turning the firewall off fixed it again.

What could be causing this behavior? Is there something other than iTunes I need to check?

Trying to get an account on itunes, am outting in all my visa card details and it is telling me to enter a valid security code, my security code im entering is correct, was thinking it may be because it is a loaded card (debit plus), but if that was the case then why have itunes charged me $1.00 each time i have tryed to do this, which has been 6 times, and $6.00 has been duducted from my card.......why is this

Itunes Store - ALL Text Black/Cant See ...

I recently downloaded iTunes 9, and I like it and all except for the iTunes Store. I cannot read ANYTHING, it's all black. I can see some images but that's it. I've tried installing, reinstalling. I even did a system restore to a few weeks ago and I still have the SAME problem. Can someone please help me? Or am I at least not the only one who is frustrated by this problem?

What happened to the iTunes feature for ...

In the iTunes store, there used to be a place you could click on to learn about genres. It was some sort of Discovery, I think.
There were many "album" collections - for instance, Contemporary Country, Old School Country, 50's Country, 60's Country, etc. and within each album collection, there were four tabs - Beginner through Advanced - where the first three tabs had top songs and the Advanced tab included all of the songs from the first three.

Does anyone know what happened to this feature? Is it still available?

I have re-installed iTunes 9.0 and still this problem exists... The only two Tabs that are present are: App Store and iTunes U...
Can anyone advise on what to do next as the Music Tab is the most important for me.....

With the 9.0.1 update, the connect to store bug is still here.
I've removed completly iTunes, Quicktime, paths, etc... made a clean installation of the update and still does not WORK!

I'm furious.

cant get into itunes store ...

its been over a week and i cant get into store the only thing i did was update to itunes 9,i have email the support team and they still cant figure out why.if i sign into my account i can get audiobooks,some podcast and itunes u will work but i can't buy music or tv shows or videos.i have turn off my firewall and antivirus i have macafee.i ran a test on my itunes this is what i got

iTunes 9 Freezes When Connecting To The ...

I am sure there are others with this problem. I have searched the forums as usual, but haven't seen this exact problem addressed, so I thought I would bring it up.

While connecting to the store, iTunes will just freeze. It shows the "Connecting to iTunes" progression bar, then nothing happens for five minutes, then ten minutes. I bring up the task manager, and of course it says that iTunes is not responding. Duh. I then attempt to shut it down and nothing happens. iTunes just sits there taking up resources and I have no option other than to completely shut down my computer. And I don't me just restart. I have to hold the power button to completely shut down because iTunes will not even let Windows power down. Never had this problem with any other version of iTunes.

I am running Windows 7, on a Dell XPS, 3 gigs of RAM, Intel 4 CPU, 3.4 ghz. Previous versions of iTunes ran just fine (well they were a bit slow, but they did not crash or freeze). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Do NOT like the new ITunes Store design, especially the fact that I can't seem to adjust the size of the columns and see full song titles, artists names, etc.
Same problem with the audiobooks page. Please change it back to the way it was before!

iTunes store browsing issue not ...

I have a windows machine running XP sp3.
It is exhibiting behavior similar to what I thought the 9.0.1.8 release resolved.
When browsing the store when logged in, the progress indicator bar at top freezes almost immediately halfway finished and hangs.

I can get to podcast, applications, etc if I select a specific category but as soon as I try to click back to music or home page I'm back to frozen.

Running CA security center (fully disabled now), have repaired (reinstall) the software with no luck.

I used to be able to upgrade old music to iTunes plus until I got the new version of iTunes. Now I can't find any links for it in the store. I went to "help" and it said to go to the music store and follow the online instructions, but there are no instructions or links that I can find. Can't read text in iTunes store since ...

Since I downloaded the latest version of iTunes, I now have a black background in the iTunes Store window and can't see any of the text - names of albums/tracks etc. The album artwork is fine, but the text is either completely invisible or vaguely appears in a very small, faint, white font when I move the mouse pointer over it. This is only on my ancient PC (XP); my new laptop (with Vista) has no problems with it at all.
Any suggestions gratefully received!

Suddenly, I can't have Itunes store and ...

I'm using Itunes 9.0.1.8, and often will first open Itunes, and then right-click on the Itunes store button, and select open in new window. Now, when I right-click it immediately switches to Itunes store without offering me the "open in new window" option. Thereafter, I'm stuck in the store, and can't find a way back to my music w/o exiting Itunes. So 2 questions: 1) how do I get back to my music view from Itunes store (I'm sure there's a way), and 2) how do I have store and music open siumltaneously.

I'm XP SP3, btw, and have both 80 Gig Ipod

Last week I updated my Itunes on my PC and now it displays an error message everytime I try to log onto Itunes store. The message says "Itunes could not connect to Itunes store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again." But my Internet and network is fine and works perfectly. Can anyone tell me how to fix it??

Hi there.
I recently had a problem with my apps. They work perfectly on my iPhone 3G 3.1 (7C144), and they all appear at my itunes. The problem is that many of them can be updated. In iTunes, it shows me a text under my apps that is saying "x updates available". When I press that, it takes me to a page saying no updates available, check again later.. uh?
On iPhone, it shows the number of the updates on the app store icon, i go there, on the updates submenu, it shows all the apps that have an update, but when i try to update it sais "cant connec to iTunes store"
I don't know what to do :/ can u guys help me?
