What does cases limit mean?

Dear Ebayer, I am writing to let yu know tat today I recieved an item from Ebay Buyer Protection which claims that m open cases are about to exceed the limit an my acount can be suspended I suspect that Ebay ould send me that email as it is not sensible and think it is a junk or spam. I have been using Ebay with great pleasure and safety as I have always been protected by PayPal buyer protection if I encountered any problems(item not recieved or not as described.).Now When I started using Ebay Buyer Protection I get a note from you claiming that I am exceeding you open cases limit. What should I do If I don't recieve my item? How can I send the item back without opening a case and having ebay as a mediator? Who will garantee my refund if not Ebay? And finally as far as I am acquanted with the Ebay Buyer Protection there is no any cases limit mentioned there. If there is any limit please let me know and I will just stop buying the item from ebay when my cases get to that limit because without being able to claim a case I will never risk buying. I am using Ebay not any other shopping site only because it is a garanteed and safe I have never claimed the case if I recieved my item in time or it came out as described. What is more I have never opened a case without trying to comunicate it with the seller. Please let me know if I my further rely on Ebay or I should make up my mind about things. Thank you.|||Ebay does not often respond to board postings-this board is mainly user to user advice. You need to contact customer supportIt may not be your fault but it is your responsibility Silver rule "do not do to others what you would not like to be done to you"|||How many cases do you have open? And how many have you filed?|||Go to the Help section, type in "buyer protection", and select the second link. Near the bottom of that page under Buyer Eligibility and other restrictions, it says, "In addition, we reserve the right to temporarily, indefinitely, or permanently suspend your coverage under the eBay Buyer Protection Policy, immediately and without prior notice, if we suspect abuse, excessive claims, tampering, or interference with the proper working of eBay Buyer Protection." The bold is mine. I don't know what number or dollar amount eBay considers to be "excessive". But if you are having to open multiple claims, you really should be picking your sellers better. In 12 years of buying on eBay, 5 of them on this ID, I've only had to open 3 claims.friends Director,|||Your Feedback Left does not indicate a lot of problems. I wonder, are you automatically opening a claim if you haven't received an item within 45 days, then closing it when you get the shipment? Normally this is a good practice, but international shipping takes more time than domestic, and the 45 day limit may be too short a time for you if you find items arriving in, say, 50 to 60 days. If this is what you are filing cases for, perhaps you should pay for your purchases with a credit card that has a longer time to file a claim if you don't get your items. Good luck - Cheers|||well at least this will give sellers some protection if they susspend buyers that file excessive claims . can't see why it's a problem as long as they inform the person involved.|||Given your location, I am not surprised you are filing alot of claims with Ebay/Paypal. Link Ebay/Paypal does have the right to limit the number of claims filed in a specific period of time. There is obviosuly a problem either in the sellers you are choosing or in the transit to your location.|||Someone posted on T&S a couple months back with a similar problem. That person was from Brazil (IIRC) and was filing INR claims on out-of-country buys just before the deadline to try to preserve his rights, if the item hadn't yet arrived. Like the OP, he ended up hitting a limit.|||I think the OP has left the building.... I would agree though, there must have been an awful lot of cases filed for that email to have been generated, regardless of their validity.
